On behalf of our client, one of the most important multinational companies within the FMCG industry, we are recruiting a General Ledger Reporting Manager for Romania and Bulgaria.

Ideally, having a Senior Accountant background, you will be responsible for accounting and reporting of the Company legal entities in Romania and Bulgaria, ensuring the correctness of accounting books and timely, complete and accurate reporting.



  • Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations
  • Ensure that the management accounts are fully compliant with the Group reporting rules and statutory ones with local reporting requirements
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances
  • Generate and distribute account management reports on monthly basis
  • Perform accounting analysis for cash accruals, account payables, account receivables, reconciliations and foreign exchange
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and revenue accounts
  • Review financial reports to identify and explain variances
  • Follow documentation retention policy to maintain accounting files
  • Prepare cash flow statements and resolve outstanding balancing issues
  • Adhere to standard accounting principles and company procedures
  • Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision-making purposes
  • Guarantee an effective internal control system in the reporting process
  • Plan, animate and monitor all financial reporting activities
  • Prepare all statutory financial statements for local / legal purposes and support the Country Accounting and Reporting Manager in the process of annual statutory audit
  • Review the reporting process KPIs; identify areas for improvement and implement action plan to improve efficiency of the reporting process and maximize the performance of services provided
  • Contribute to lead finance projects as appropriate. Participate in business projects and promote CBS projects that can support business



  • Proven autonomously experience on a similar role
  • A University degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting or equivalent
  • RAS and IFRS knowledge
  • Romanian Chartered Accountant certification, ACCA, CPA or related qualification would represent an advantage
  • Experience with Bulgarian accounting would be a plus
  • Proven experience with business process improvement
  • Strong understanding of Financial Reporting based on local legal requirements
  • Previous experience of using SAP is mandatory
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Team player, good communicator that builds lasting relationships with all the stakeholders
  • Excellent command of English - both spoken and written.
