On behalf of our client, a leading agribusiness company, we are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Controller

Position purpose:
To book, analyze, control and report the result of the trading business line; to analyze, report and follow-up currency exposure generated by business and balance sheet.


  • Trading reporting: book EOM adjustments for US GAAP reporting (accruals, stocks, etc.). Consolidate, analyze and report to the group daily, monthly and yearly PL results and financial statements for trading business timely and accurate (weekly position reconciliation, STD, web PL reporting, forecast, BS reconciliation, etc.);
  • To follow-up that all end of month reporting deadlines are met by the persons responsible for trading business, according to internal planning previously agreed;
  • Daily/ weekly/ monthly business checks (commodity daily position reconciliation, CRM position reconciliation, FX position, market prices checks, etc.).;
  • Initiate and performs mini-audits and other projects having as scope quality increase of controls and procedures follow-up. Follow-up action plans (resulted from above processes implementation);
  • FX exposure finance specialist – daily FX exposure position reconciliation with trading department, calculate and report EOM FX exposure, act as primary finance contact and specialist on this topic in relation with other departments; clarify and follow-up any issue / project on this topic, initiate discussions' and checks on possible FX risks that might create PL impact;
  • Follow-up business funding - coordinate loan / overdraft actions;
  • CRM - To consolidate, analyze and report to the group CRM weekly position and end of month statements; to follow-up with risk management product line leader the activity during the month and ensure the procedure is followed-up; to prepare the month-end bookings and PL reporting for CRM;
  • Budget – active participation in annual process and as back-up for the rest of the team during the budget process as per previously agreed with Budget coordinator;
  • Provide support to in implementation of new request or tasks. Perform ad-hoc requests as requested by direct and indirect managers;
  • Finance team support and back-up: 
  • Backup role for other members of the team;
  • To be actively involved in knowledge transfer to the new reporting team’s members, to share the knowledge to the colleagues; 
  • To offer support to the team during month-end and busy periods.


  • Economics University degree, Finance or Accounting specialization;
  • Previous experience in the industry or production field;
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience in finance;
  • Proven knowledge and experience of ERP & technical reporting systems (SAP);
  • Computer Literate; advanced Excel skills (pivots, macros, etc.);
  • US GAAP accounting experience;
  • ACCA certification;
  • Project management skills;
  • Good planning, people and tasks coordination skills;
  • Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, team spirit;
  • Creativity and innovative approach in building and/or improving systems and processes.
  • Fluent in English;
