Job purpose: The SAP Business Analyst will be responsible for participating in the planning, development, maintenance and enhancement of SAP application and the functional areas of an SAP Finance and Controlling solution. The SAP Business Analyst is the primary source of information for business users regarding the specific business processes within the Finance and Controlling module. He/she will ensure First Level Support for Finance and Controlling processes for specified Rompetrol Group companies.


  • Perform business analysis for her/his specific area, documenting all business processes in all necessary details in order to be further modeled and implemented in the system by senior SAP consultants
  • Provide continuous business support in all Finance and Controlling module related processes and provide maintenance of different interfaces between SAP system and external systems
  • Responsible for performing unit/integration/regression testing and acceptance tests for Finance and Controlling module
  • Deliver the end user training for Finance and Controlling module - explaining the SAP transactions, identifying problems in applications
  • Develop working procedures and end users manuals related to implemented SAP processes
  • Specify business processes and create along with the senior consultants business blueprints for Finance and Controlling
  • Assure continuous business blueprint maintenance
  • Participate in full life cycle system implementation of SAP solutions
  • Maintain system and proceeds further projects and system developments for the commercial business in the company within the SAP Department
  • Assure corrective and adaptive maintenance
  • Manage and prioritize the business requirements in close collaboration with the business users
  • Collaborate with the technical team in order to translate functional requirements into technical requirements
  • Validate requirements implementation (manage and support integration and acceptance testing)
  • Perform post-implementation and user support for Finance and Controlling solutions
  • Ensure necessary communication, alignment and cooperation with other departments


  • University Degree, preferably in Cybernetics, Informatics, Accounting and Information Systems
  • At least 2 years of SAP – Finance and Controlling module experience with successful closure of at least 2 projects
  • Proven experience in providing system support and direct contact with users to solve issues with business applications
  • Basic knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards and IFRS reporting
  • Experience with master data
  • Dedicated, hardworking person

  • Very good knowledge of English language
  • Russian language represents an advantage
  • Good PC skills – MS Office package, Visio
  • Good project management skills, operating as part of a team: organizing, planning, and executing large scale projects from vision through implementation
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express business concepts in technical terms and technical information to non-technical people
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills; able to handle multiple jobs/projects simultaneously
  • Availability to travel at least 50% of the working time
  • Relevant SAP certification represents an advantage
  • Knowledge of other SAP ERP modules (SD/MM) represents an advantage
  • Finance and Controlling module configuration experience represents an advantage
