Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality of VAT declarations / Intrastate and other processes- Drive the services given by the external suppliers and guarantee the supply of the information within the deadlines;
  • Ensure the process quality under its responsibility;
  • Prepare performance indicators, quality, and progress of its activities;
  • Support the business, providing guidance, training, and requirements for treatments on all new supplies of goods, services and contract arrangements;
  • Reviews and approves VAT data necessary for making declarations and the reconciliation of these before transmission to the service provider external;
  • Ensure and validate the VAT returns send by the external supplier and file those ones under his responsibility and ensure their payment within the deadlines and with the standards of quality expected;
  • Warned the European Compliance Manager and / or Country Manager tax in case of problems interpretations of tax laws and billing flow modeling for approval;
  • Ensures the update of information systems for legislative change;
  • Answer the questions from the tax authorities or the internal/external auditors.
  • Drive and improve compliance process and supports the development of expertise on the VAT;
  • Contribute to ensure the consistency of methods and continuous improvement regarding activities, and to keep updated the information systems;
  • Implement the VAT process according to the group vision and participate in the evolution of the process;
  • Listen to different customers, anticipate and communicate opportunities;
  • Challenge the existing process and propose improvements on the process, or IS/IT systems;
  • Maintains documentation of the processes and tools.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a relevant Tax qualification;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience focused on managing VAT affairs in a large organization;
  • Strong financial analysis skills;
  • Effective communication - able to put across messages clearly and concisely;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to work effectively with finance managers, colleagues and external parties;
  • Advanced/Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel;
  • Knowledge IS/IT ERP's and Acces (not essential but advantageous);
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, including planning and delivery to challenging deadlines;
  • A good level of English languages. French is an advantage.
